Dear Copperfield Families,

We have had another great week of learning at Copperfield School, and we would like to extend a HUGE thank you to all our families who supported our annual Read-A-Thon. The prize winners will be announced in early April. The funds raised will go towards purchasing resources to support our UFLI phonics program, as well as additional decodable and leveled reading materials for our students.

We are excited to share two wonderful initiatives our School Council is funding in support of our Physical Education and Arts programs throughout April and May. We will be hosting Alien In-Line Skating at our school, providing students with an engaging opportunity to develop their physical literacy, coordination, and confidence through movement as part of our Physical Education program.

In addition, we are pleased to welcome a Trickster Drama Residency, which supports the Alberta Education arts and literacy curriculum. Through this residency, students will collaborate to co-create and perform in a drama production, fostering creativity, storytelling skills, and self-expression while building confidence and a strong sense of community.

We will also be looking for volunteers to support our drama residency. If you are interested in helping, please let the school know—we would greatly appreciate your involvement.

 Copperfield has heart!

Warm regards and for those who celebrate, Happy Easter!
