UPDATE

We are excited for another couple of weeks of enriching learning at Copperfield School! Today marked the success of our first-ever Career Day, and we were thrilled to see students dressed as their future careers, representing their aspiring professions. But more importantly, we are excited to see that the see the students make connections between our learning today and how it influences our goals as adults and the careers we can pursue which is tied to our passions.

We extend a huge thank you to our Parent Volunteer guest speakers for Career Day. We had the pleasure of hearing from a wide array of professionals, including an engineer, a power grid operator, a biologist, a nurse, a radio commercial writer, a dentist, a chef, a police officer, a physiotherapy assistant, a developmental services worker, an electrician, an electronics security designer, a safety coordinator, a medical office administrator, a truck driver, an animation and video game artist, a chemist, an auditor, an accountant, a team lead project manager, and a photographer. It was an enriching day for our students to explore these diverse careers!

February is also Kindness Month, and we look forward to celebrating kindness with our students through stories and activities. Acting with kindness and generosity is essential in building a strong, healthy, and vibrant community that we hold dear as our school motto is “Copperfield has heart..” Throughout the month, Copperfield School will focus on kindness through activities, daily Kindness messages during Morning Announcements, and recognition of special events like Pink Shirt Day and Winter Walk Day. We are so proud of our students who continue to model kindness within our learning spaces and throughout the community.

Thank you for your support!

Copperfield has heart!
