Last Day of School - Early Dismissal 11:45

Dear Copperfield Families,

We’ve had another wonderful week of learning at Copperfield School! This week, we celebrated Administrative Professionals’ Day, and we want to take a moment to express our gratitude to our exceptional administrative assistants, Mrs. Willmott and Mrs. Minardi. They are always ready to assist and warmly welcome families each morning. From managing attendance messages and supporting students to taking phone calls, registering new students, updating our school website, and handling the accounting—just to name a few—they truly go above and beyond. Their dedication to our students makes Copperfield School a fantastic place to learn and grow!

As we approach National Volunteer Week, which runs from April 27 to May 3, we’d like to acknowledge the many volunteers who dedicate their time and energy to supporting Copperfield students and our school. Whether it's helping with academics, preparing learning materials, supporting field trips, or assisting with special events like the Terry Fox Run or Activity Day, our volunteers play a vital role in enriching our school community. On behalf of our students and staff, we want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU for everything you do!

Looking ahead, we’ll also be recognizing Mental Health Week in partnership with the Canadian Mental Health Association. On Wednesday, May 7, we will participate in "Hats On! For Mental Health Day". We encourage all students and staff to wear a hat to show support and raise awareness for mental health. Our ongoing focus is on fostering kindness, and together, we continue to make Copperfield a wonderful place to learn and thrive.

Thank you for your continued support and dedication! Copperfield has heart!

Warm regards,
Colette Pedde
Principal, Copperfield School
