UPDATE
We look forward to another great week of learning at Copperfield School. We are excited to announce our first Career Day on the morning of Friday, February 7! This is a wonderful opportunity for students to explore different professions and learn about the many possibilities for their future careers. Throughout the morning, we will have guest speakers from a variety of fields who will share their experiences with our students. Each class will see 3 different 15-minute presentations.
In addition to welcoming our guest speakers, we encourage all students to dress up as what they want to be when they grow up! Whether it's an artist, astronaut, mechanic, teacher, veterinarian or any other profession, this is a fun way for students to learn about and express their aspirations. We appreciate of all our parent volunteers who are speaking about their profession. We have an engineer, a power grid operator, a biologist, a nurse, a radio commercial writer, a dentist, a chef, a police officer, a physiotherapy assistant, a developmental services worker, an electrician, an electronics security designer, a safety coordinator, a medical office administrator, a truck driver, an animation and videogame artist, a chemist, an auditor, an accountant, a team lead project manager, and a photographer.
Thank you for your support!
Copperfield has heart!

ROAD SAFETY REMINDERS
Drivers are reminded to please obey all parking signs and bylaws near the crosswalk to ensure the safety and visibility of our students as they cross. As well, we ask drivers to please avoid making U-Turns in front of the school, backing into our neighbours’ driveways and from sending your student directly across the street from your car. Drivers are not to park within 5 metres of a marked crosswalk and are reminded to approach crosswalks slowly and with caution.
Students are reminded to use the crosswalk for crossing the street. Even when pedestrians have the right of way, they must still ensure the crosswalk is safe before crossing. Pedestrians are encouraged to use Point, Pause, Proceed to signal to drivers they intend to cross. Please choose safety over convenience.
