Dear Copperfield Families,

We’ve had another wonderful week of learning here at Copperfield School! As we all know, Calgary’s weather can change quickly. We kindly remind families to ensure students are dressed in layers, as they continue to enjoy outdoor learning opportunities such as pond studies, community walks, learning breaks, and lunch recess.

The coming weeks will be busy, with several classes heading out on field trips. We’re hopeful the weather will cooperate so students can continue to enjoy their recess and lunch breaks outside.

As we begin planning for the 2025–2026 school year, it’s important for us to have accurate enrolment numbers to determine the appropriate number of classes. If you know your family will be moving out of the Copperfield School boundary, we ask that you please contact the school by phone or email to let us know your child(ren) will not be returning next year. Your help allows us to plan effectively for the year ahead. All students K-4 will automatically be transferred to the next grade, providing they are still residing within the Copperfield community.

A reminder to please notify the school if your child will be absent or arriving late. Absences can be reported by calling the Attendance Line at 403-817-3512 ext. 1, or by emailing copperfield@cbe.ab.ca. Please be sure to include the date, your child’s name, homeroom, and the reason for the absence or late arrival.

Wishing you and your family a safe and relaxing long weekend!

Copperfield has heart!

Warm regards,
Colette Pedde
Principal, Copperfield School

Fees and Waivers

All fees have been posted to your student’s MyCBE account.

As a reminder, no child is ever denied access to an education in The Calgary Board of Education (CBE) because of an inability to pay. If you cannot afford the fees, there are several ways to qualify for a central fee waiver.

Waiver applications for the current school year are found online through your MyCBE account and are available from the start of the school year until June 30.

More information can be found on the Fee’s and Waivers page.
