Message from the Administration
It has been another great week of learning at Copperfield School. We had a great turn out to our Meet the Teacher evening. Thank you to everyone who came and made connections with our staff. A HUGE thank you to our wonderful Parent Council for organizing the Food Trucks. We really appreciate all of your support!
The upcoming weeks will continue to be busy. Over the next two weeks Copperfield students will experience our first Fire Drill practice and Lockdown practice of the year. We also will be hosting our Terry Fox Assembly and Run next Friday.
We would like to share some important news with our school community. Our Assistant Principal, Mr. Jon Patry, will be moving on to a new chapter in his educational journey. On September 29, 2025, Mr. Patry will be joining the Ron Southern School Staff. We will be working closely with our Human Resources team to staff the Associate Principal position and ensure a smooth transition as we welcome a new member to our school leadership team.
We are deeply grateful for the leadership, care, and commitment Mr. Patry has brought to Copperfield School. From supporting students, staff and families each day to helping build a strong, welcoming community, his impact has been lasting and meaningful.
Please join us in congratulating Mr. Patry on this exciting new opportunity. While the students and staff will miss him greatly, we know that he will be a welcome addition to Ron Southern School.
Have a great weekend. Copperfield has heart!
Sincerely,
Colette Pedde
Principal, Copperfield School
