Update
We look forward to another great week of learning at Copperfield School. We have warm weather this week and it is very exciting to see a large number of students riding their scooters and bikes to school. Students are reminded to bring a lock and use the designated racks to secure their personal items. There are bike racks on both the west/east side of the building and there are scooter racks designed specifically for locking up scooters by the grade 4 doors. For everyone’s safety students are reminded to walk their bike and/or scooter while on school sidewalks and grounds before and after school.
With increased traffic volume and bright sunny mornings, it is a great time to remind drivers to be aware of students walking and riding their bikes or scooters to school. U-Turns and double parking creates an unsafe situation for your child and for the other drivers, and all drivers must approach crosswalks with care. Please choose safety over convenience and take the extra time to find a safe spot to pull over and park.
Copperfield School Council and School Fundraising Association are very important and valued members of our Copperfield School Community. Our council members provide guidance on decisions, they organize and support school activities, and they provide learning materials and opportunities for students. Thank you to all members of our school council for their on-going dedication and support of our students at Copperfield School. Our next School council is Wednesday May 22 at 6:30pm, and is a great way for members of our community to learn about school happenings and events.
Copperfield has heart!
Sincerely,
Mike Magowan
