Dear Copperfield Families,

It has been another wonderful week of learning at Copperfield School! Our Grade 3–5 students had a fantastic time participating in inline skating with Alien In-Line Skating. A huge thank you to our amazing School Council for supporting this opportunity.

The upcoming week brings more rich learning experiences. Shane Cunningham, one of CBE’s Diversity and Learning Support Advisors, will be sharing oral storytelling of The Legend of Napi and the Rock in honour of National Indigenous History Month. In addition, our administration team will be visiting classrooms to read Indigenous stories with students.

We also look forward to welcoming the volunteers who RSVP’d for our Volunteer Appreciation event on June 10 at 1:45 p.m.

Thank you for your ongoing partnership and support. Copperfield has heart!

Warm regards,

Colette Pedde                                     Allyson Heggie
Principal                                              Assistant Principal

COPPERFIELD INTENTION FORMS 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR

We are currently planning for the 2026–2027 school year. To support accurate staffing and organization, we are gathering enrollment information from all families. Please complete this short form to let us know whether your child(ren) will be returning to Copperfield School. If you have not already completed, please complete the survey for each child. Intention Form – Fill out form

All current Kindergarten to Grade 4 students registered at Copperfield and have not moved out of the area are registered here for the next school year.

 BUSING AND TRANSPORTATION REGISTRATION

Families are now able to register for school bus service for the 2026-2027 school year. If you are within the bus zone, registration is now available through your MyCBE account

Families must register by Sunday, June 14, 2026 for students to be added to routes for the start of the next school year.

 LEAVING EARLY FOR THE SUMMER

Is your family leaving the school early for summer vacation before June 26, or are you coming back after the first day of school, August 31? If so, please complete an extended absence form and email to the school at copperfield@cbe.ab.ca. This ensures all students leave the school with their indoor shoes and any school work that has accumulated over the year. Anything not claimed by June 26 will be recycled.

 LOST AND FOUND

The lost and found is again overflowing! Ask your student to check to see if they have anything in it! We do try to return items that have names on them, however it is always a good idea to have your child look. All lost and found left unclaimed will be donated noon June 29.

 FEES AND WAIVERS

As a reminder, all fees have been posted to your student’s MyCBE account. If you could please check to make sure all outstanding fees have been paid.

No child is ever denied access to an education in The Calgary Board of Education (CBE) because of an inability to pay. If you cannot afford the fees, there are several ways to qualify for a central fee waiver.

Waiver applications for the current school year are found online through your MyCBE account and are available from the start of the school year until June 30.
