Dear Copperfield Families,
We’ve had another wonderful week of learning here at Copperfield School! We are incredibly grateful to our amazing School Council for sponsoring the Trickster Drama Residency. We have completed our first week, and it was a HUGE success! Students were so proud to share their final performances with a full gymnasium audience on Friday.
A HUGE thank you goes out to all of the volunteers who dedicated countless hours to organizing costumes and props for every student. Thank you to Karen, Kari, Samantha, Hannah, Virginia, Cassandra, Malorie, Amy, Christa, Pam, Judy, Christa and Shellmith for your incredible support during Week 1 of our residency.
We are also very grateful to the Tricksters — David, Chris, Alex, Treyvon, and Randy — for creating such an engaging and memorable experience for our students.
We look forward to Week 2 with the second half of our school next week! Wishing you and your family a safe and relaxing long weekend!
Copperfield has heart!

TRICKSTER RESIDENCY
A HUGE thank you to our wonderful School Council for generously sponsoring our Trickster Drama Residency with the Trickster Theatre! Our first week of residency was a huge success!
Unfortunately, the fire department received complaints regarding crowd capacity in the gym during the recent theatre performance. This is unfortunate, as seating was arranged in accordance with gym capacity based on submitted RSVPs.
We want to ensure we have enough seating for the upcoming Trickster performances. Please RSVP if you are planning to attend this Friday’s performance. Thank you for your support.

To help ensure we remain within safety regulations, we ask that strollers not be brought into the gym, as they can obstruct space needed for safe movement and clear access to fire exits. If you have any concerns, we encourage you to bring them directly to the school’s attention so we can address them promptly.
During this exciting residency, each class works daily with a Trickster artist to explore drama, storytelling, and the use of props. Students will collaborate to create a short skit, which they will proudly perform at the end of the week.

Trickster Theatre has organized this sign up for parents/guardians who are approved to volunteer at our school. We appreciate your help with this wonderful initiative!

Fees and Waivers
All fees have been posted to your student’s MyCBE account.
As a reminder, no child is ever denied access to an education in The Calgary Board of Education (CBE) because of an inability to pay. If you cannot afford the fees, there are several ways to qualify for a central fee waiver.
Waiver applications for the current school year are found online through your MyCBE account and are available from the start of the school year until June 30.
More information can be found on the Fee’s and Waivers page.
